We’ll be staying at a sanctuary nestled in the nature of Playa Grande. It includes eco-luxe beach bungalows, a massive and fully-equipped yoga shala, private pool, family dining, communal lounge areas, and more.
These bungalows are not just structures; they are artfully crafted from reclaimed wood and other recycled materials, breathing new life into forgotten resources. From the locally sourced furniture to the eco-friendly amenities, we have taken every possible step to ensure that your experience here is not only luxurious but also aligned with your values. Each bungalow is themed as a local Costa Rican animal.

We will be at the Sol Sanctuary in Playa Grande, Costa Rica. Surrounded by lush jungle and just a few minutes from the beach, this environment will unleash the wild spirit in you and give you a sense of calm, energy, and clarity.
Location is about a 75 minute drive from Liberia airport. The closest option is to fly into Liberia and arrange transport from airport to the retreat center.

Not at all! This retreat is open to yogis of all levels. The yoga sessions are designed to support your personal practice, allowing you to flow in a way that feels right for your body. It’s a pressure-free environment with hands-on adjustments, modifications, and variations tailored to your preferences.

All of our on-site meals will be home-cooked with local fresh ingredients.
We’re happy to accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets. If you have other dietary restrictions, simply let us know by filling out the form, and we’ll do our best to meet your needs.

Meet Your Hosts
Two soul sisters turned business partners that met at a yoga retreat in Costa Rica in 2021.
Charlie is an ocean-obsessed, passionate entrepreneur who has called Costa Rica home for the past decade. Landing at age 21 with just two hundred dollars to her name, she was determined to carve her own path in this tropical paradise. As the co-founder of The Social Scene, a creative agency based in Guanacaste, she infuses her love of visual storytelling & any excuse for an impromptu adventure into every aspect of her work.
Her story in Costa Rica began with founding a spearfishing business, where she discovered her first loves—the ocean & the art of freediving. Driven by creativity & a determination to live on her own terms, she later launched Keep Gaia Wild, a sustainability-focused venture aimed at keeping plastics out of the ocean. She now runs a creatives agency and over time, has scaled The Social Scene to serve more than 40 clients locally & internationally & now leads a team of 10 women, going all in on helping fellow entrepreneurs bring their passion projects to life.
From spearfishing to creative agency founder & photographer, Charlie’s path showcases her commitment to continuous growth & reinvention, always finding new ways to inspire others to design their dream lives.
Louisa is the founder of Shanti House, a conscious-living and wellness community for entrepreneurs in NYC.
After spending a decade in management consulting helping Fortune 500 company leaders solve their business problems, Louisa stepped away from corporate to deepen her spiritual and technical learning and pursue her passion for entrepreneurship.
In November 2023, Louisa obtained her Yoga Teacher Certification in Bali, and began applying her consulting experience to smaller scale organizations and businesses she had a personal connection to. In early 2024, she spent time traveling to Tamarindo, Costa Rica, where she advised Charlie’s team in scaling the Social Scene.
Upon returning to New York, Louisa began meeting with founders and consulting businesses emerging in wellness tech. After attending countless networking events, she realized entrepreneurs were seeking more meaningful ways to connect while building their companies. This discovery inspired her to create Shanti House—a space for intimate, impactful wellness events that blend movement, mindfulness, and conscious connection.
She now spends her time connecting and advising early-stage founders, teaching yoga, and supporting the growth of mission-driven businesses.
